A true rose top note has little to do with those long-stemmed bouquets from the corner store. Rather, imagine the enchanting scent you encounter while strolling through a rose garden at summer’s peak. Lush, feminine, as light as a warm breeze.
Together with the master gardeners at the New York Botanical Garden and renowned perfumer Laurent Le Guernec, Caswell-Massey captured that fragrance directly from a Heritage rose in NYBG’s Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden. We blended it with a bergamot top note, a heart of black currant and fig, and an earthy base of vetiver with a trail of musk.
LIVING FLORALS: We named the formula for Beatrix Jones Farrand (1872-1959), the most accomplished landscape architect of her time and the only female founder of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Beatrix left her mark on designs for college campuses, city parks, and the gardens of the White House, and was the original designer of the rose garden at the New York Botanical Garden.PRODUCT DETAILS
